An experiential marketer with a wealth of experience working in live environments, including the prestigious International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Pacific Rim Basketball Classic that featured Canada’s national team in two international friendlies against Team China.
Jack Basterfield managed logistical operations for this highly attended event where he also oversaw asset inventory tracking, volunteer recruitment and management, arena set-up and equipment transportation.
Most recently, Jack returned as a leader of United Way’s campaign efforts during the last season where he managed fundraising through workplace campaigns for a few key accounts including the City of Vancouver, Bank of Montreal and Scotiabank. During his time at United Way, Jack raised over one million dollars for the local community.
As an active member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Company of Young Professionals, Jack was also appointed as an Advisor to the Community Outreach Committee in the Leader’s of Tomorrow (LOT) Signature Program. While he was a member in the LOT Program he was recognized for his volunteerism, being the recipient of the Committee Member of the Year Award. Currently, Jack serves as the Manger - Business Development, Partnerships and Sponsorship for the American Marketing Association – BC Chapter (BCAMA). Jack holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Langara College.
He is an avid sports fan who has travelled the world to see some of the largest sporting events, including the Sydney Olympics, the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and 2013 NBA Finals. Following his passion for sports, Jack co-founded and is the Content Strategist for the Fourth Place Champs podcast that he hosts weekly, which focuses on current trends and the latest developments in the sports industry. True to form, when not hosting his weekly podcast or creating experiences, Jack can be found at BC Place and Roger’s Arena taking in the action.
